NURSING ON MY OWN ASPECT

 

Nursing nowadays, most especially in the Philippines, is the most prevalent course ever since it has been known to every Pinoy that it can bring anyone abroad and that it is a good means to get rich.

 

In many ways it can. I for one could attest to the GOOD POSSIBILITIES that nursing could bring because I am a nurse. Despite these alluring details, one should have to undergo tedious and expensive exams for them to be able to work abroad. At first, one should take the NLE exam. It is not that costly. It will only cost a nurse-aspirant P900 to take the exam. NLE Review can cause up to P10, 000 and complying for the COMPLETION FORMS and filing the papers is laborious and tedious. After successfully passing the NLE, then you’ll find your self, reviewing again for CGFNS/NCLEX. As what I’ve learned from my friends who reviewed for these exams, it cost them P18, 000 for a 3-6mo review. CGFNS alone costs more or less P30, 000 exclusive of expenses that you have to shoulder for mailing and filing the papers. Though, some states do not require CGFNS. After that comes NCLEX, the cost of taking this exam depends upon what state you want to be licensed to. As for me, I am licensed at Florida, and I’ve learned that it cost $480 or more… filing fee, mailing fee and document fee are excluded. Then when you get passed these 3 critical exams you have to pass the IELTS. The cost of taking IELTS is almost P9000. IELTS review can cost up to P4000. Finally, when you’re done with all of these exams then you’re ready to apply for the U.S. but wait, just when you thought that everything is fine, nah, you still have to undergo trainings for you to qualify as a COMPETETIVE NURSE. And for some employers, training alone won’t suffice their criteria; there are those who seek for nurses who have at least 2 YEARS WORK EXPERIENCE. And before I forget, you still have to apply for VISA SCREEN, which costs $440, exclusive of the mailing fees and document fees.

 

On the other hand, if you’re not opting for the US then you can apply for New Zealand, Australia and Canada. Based from what I have known from my friend who has just started working in NZ, it cost her P500, 000 to get there. And before she could work, she has to undergo a bridging program which lasts for 6weeks. If NZ is not your place, then maybe AUS is? In AUS, it can cost you more or less P400, 000 for you to get there. And you have to undergo their bridging program for 2mo. While in CAN, I think it will cost you P200, 000 more or less and you have to take the CRNE to qualify. I am just limiting my knowledge upon these countries because these has been the popular place-to-be amongst my friends and these are the only places where I’ve tried to research and applied.

 

Lastly, I am not posting this to scare any one of you about this PROMISING COURSE. I just want to give out information for you to at least have an idea. I hope you have learned something from this. After all, if we get pass all of the exams, expenses and work experiences and when we get to where we want to work, nursing will be more rewarding (financially speaking).

A Tribute to My Friends

At the start of my life, from just merely a concurrence of an egg and a sperm, to a zygote, embryo and finally into a fetus, I have never learned about friendship. All I’m focused at is my physiological needs to live, for me to be able to be healthily brought out to earth. Deep in my mom’s womb, I could say that I am independent, considering that I have no idea that there is a bigger world outside. I am merely confined in a gloomy and murky world, filled with everything that I need.  No other individual exists than me. So I can dare say that it’s my world. But when I was due to be expelled and has been expelled out of “MY OWN WORLD,” I then realized that there are other persons than me and that it is never a gloomy and murky world at all. I came across faces that are unfamiliar but considerately adorable. From then on, “MY WORLD” became “OUR WORLD.”

At first, I came across different developmental milestones and tasks that I have to achieve to become a better person. As an infant, it was mostly about sufficing my “ID,” it’s more like being back in my “murky and gloomy world,” only now it has been illuminated by the outside world. But currently, I have outgrown all of that selfishness. I have met persons that made me who I am. I am not perfect. I can be irritating, annoying, selfish, stubborn, boastful, stupid, lazy, clumsy, hateful, ill-hearted, pessimistic, dull, unreasonable and maybe EVIL. But who cares? Sometimes most of us are. At least, I acknowledge that I rarely have those “maddened moments.” Despite those traits, my friends still stood up for me. When I put my self to shame, instead of booing me, they boost my confidence, telling me that I can make it. When I do stupid decisions, instead of blaming me for deciding it, they comfort me and tell me that there is still another chance. When I have enemies, instead of telling me to hate them, they try to tell me to get over that person because that hateful person is good for nothing. When I’m “super-beneath-down-the-earth’s-core” they cheer me up. When I am in my “self-pity mode,” they make me laugh, throwing jokes like “it is merely hormonal.”  There are lots of things that they have done that I may have forgotten to mention. But deep inside me, I cherish everything that they have done for me. From the simple smiles and hellos that we’ve shared to the greater things that we have sworn to be kept secret, those things I treasure. Person’s that are more than chocolates, shopping’s, world tours and spas. One of the reasons why I can let go of my little luxuries in life. Cheers to all my friends. Thank you for the friendship. As much as I want to mention every one of you, but I don’t want to live out a name and make that one person upset. I’d rather acknowledge all of you in general, for I know deep in your hearts that you know who are. THANK YOU!!!

Life is how we make it.

 

What we have become, has been the person that we have been in the past. Some blame it with destiny, some with misfortunes and some just reluctantly crosses the bridges of their lives.

 

No one knows, what life would offer him in the future. But undeniably, the things that we are doing today will reflect on our succeeding lives. A college student who works on his studies well and achieves academic excellence would have greater edge against those who are uneducated. There is a brighter path being paved for his future because of the qualifications that he has been banking early on his life. However, life surprises us with things and shortcomings that are unexpected. Suddenly, this achiever has faced bewildering obstacles of some sort and in just a jiffy all of the credentials that he had reserved will be put to nothing. Unexpected events such as accidents, takes away all of our chances for the future, in fact, most often, it takes away our chance to LIVE. And without life, no one could strike on the opportunities that are being brought to the table neither could a lifeless person engage into a mortal’s way of dealing with life. As one stops to breath, everything that he sets for the future die down. All the ambitions, outlooks, hardships and everything that he has thought about what his life ought to be, will be brought along with his deceased body beneath the earth’s core. Beyond that, no one would know what you want your life to be. And that’s for those who live through misfortunes.

 

On the other hand, some people would merely depend on destiny, that if one thing is never meant to become, then it will never be, no matter how hard one tries to achieve it. Fate, is unexplainable, no one knows why and how it happens. But sometimes, some persons try to relate it with coincidence. But how is COINCIDENCE different from FATE? Personally, I’d say it’s merely COINCIDENCE when it just happened once or twice and that things can be explainable. While FATE, knocks us off of our feet and we will be relentlessly submitted to a period of uncertainties. So when one says, maybe its destiny? Then unexpectedly that thing had happened. For some, let’s live it to our destiny. Then they are just merely waiting for the apple to fall down the apple tree. Personally, waiting for destiny can be dull; it reduces one person’s capability to nothing. We are given the ability to try things that can bring us to where we want to be, rather than dithering on the raw opportunities we’ve been given, we must try to reach for the apple because freshly picked apples are much sweeter than those grubby and over-ripped apples that have fallen on the ground. Life is sweeter when we have exerted some efforts than merely hitching on to some other people’s luck.  

 

Lastly, life is life. No one knows what our future will bring us. The only thing that is certain is that, for as long as one is still breathing, then he still has the chance to improve his own existence.

At first you’d assume that I’m a SNOB, “definiteabsopositivulutely” W-R-O-N-G! I just don’t want to ward off people by pretentiously acting close. Infact, I’m insanely COOL (self-proclaimed) (ayaw na palag) (*wink*)

Beneath the core of moi is an individual who is free-spirited, optimistic, hedonistic,eudaimonic, narciccist, amiable, religious (yeah I am ), noble etc…

I have great sets of friends since elementary up to present. I always treasure my friends coz they keep me sane and grounded.

I have an astonishing supportive family, who endures my flaws but I think I make them happy in my own li’l-tini-tiny-itsy-bitsy-morsel crazy ways.

I go GAGA over shopping, I’m an impulsive buyer & a commercialist too. I buy whatever I set my eyes on and find cute or nice even w/o meticulously checking it, like my friends do, so mostly I end up regretful about what I bought and "money-drained." (but hedonism-wise–>> sufficed)

Most of my friends question my abhorrence on “mushy stuffs.” Coz when they get MUSHY I get SLOPPY. It’s just not my thing. Whenever they turn ON their “mushy mood” I then turn purple-green (alien? LOL) and it makes me puke. It’s like I’m being sucked into hurling and blazing vertigo. I just want to disappear. Haha. They can’t rely on me in terms of those stuffs. They always end up with silly, funny, out of this world, unhelpful, dim-witted advises.

My ultimate dream is to travel the WORLD, take pictures and enjoy the culture of each country.

I hate back-stabbers, if you don’t like me, tell it to my face (& I’ll stab your face, JOKE ).

I love to uncover all the bare sceneries there is. I love to dine with my loved ones. Love to chat w/ my friends while sipping some larspuccino or fagiogranita tiramisu/mocha caramello or macchiato. I find the NET handy, just a click, and you’re good to go. I love love and soooOoo love massages, footspas, facials, scrubs etc. (who doesn’t?).

I guess I’ve said enough, so I’ll stop. Hehe.
