I was leisurely walking at the mall and bumped in to a friend that I have not seen for ages because she is now working abroad but is currently in the country for a vacation. We’ve reminisced all of the things that we’ve been through including all of the adventures that we’ve had. She shared her story about her vacation in Amsterdam. She told me that booking a hotel stay at Amsterdam Hotels really made her trip worthy. She was able to stay at Qbic Hotel, which is a gorgeous and sassy hotel that is suitable for her budget. According to my friend, Qbic Hotel Amsterdam WTC is the low cost design hotel of Amsterdam, with cheap rates starting from €69.00.  It has a Cubi, a cube-shaped state-of-the-art living space, which features a practical configuration, with an extra long Hästens bed, Philippe Starck design bathroom elements, LCD TV, high-speed Internet, safe and an ingenious work-and-dine set. Her features about the whereabouts of the hotel makes me want to experience the life in Amsterdam.

Last week, I went with a friend who was tasked to search for an engagement ring, he was given a week for him to fulfill his task. He told me that he has been around the town for 5days now, but still he has not fulfilled his mission. He said that on his 5 days search, he encountered various difficulties such as traffic hazards, pricey but unworthy jewelries and bogus blings. He has exhausted almost all of the resources and sources that he has in mind in order for him to find a ring, but still he has none. Lastly, he thought of finding the ring through the net, and it took him more than two hours until he came across a chatter who advised him to try jewelry online. Upon viewing the site, he contacted his procurer and was pleased about what he saw. He told my friend that he was caught between choosing cubic zirconia ring and diamond engagement ring. After meticulously scrutinizing both rings, he ended up choosing the cubic zirconia ring. Both of my friend and his procurer end up happy, because they sure met the deadline.

My Trip to Malaysia

   

After I have passed my board exam, I was given a present by my mom and it was to visit Malaysia. I’ve been planning to go on vacation on that country but for some reason it never happened, until now. I was able to visit the country where my mom is working.

 

I booked my hotel accommodation with HOTELS COMBINED, which was recommended by a friend of my mom. It freed me from the hassles of seeking a worthy and livable hotel. At that time, my mom and I stayed at Alpha Genesis Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The hotel offered an ultimate east and west unique ambiance. 

 On my second day, we went to The AQUARIA or also known as the Aquarium KLCC. This aquarium features over 5,000 animals of 150 species of aquatic and land animals from Malaysia and around the world. AQUARIA is opened from 11am to 8pm everyday with the last admission at 7pm. The best means of transport to come here is using the Putra LRT. Board the Putra LRT and stop at KLCC station. Follow the signage to AQUARIA KLCC and you will be there in about 10 minutes time. Admission fees varies according to age and nationality, if you’re a Malaysian-Adult it will only cost you RM28, for Malaysian Children it costs RM22, Non-Malaysian Adult = RM38, for Non-Malaysian Children = RM26 and for Senior Citizens = RM18. After feasting my eyes on aquatic life, we went to Suria KLCC Shopping Mall, which is a 5-minute walking distance from the Aquaria. It is a 1.5 million sp. feet shopping complex located at the base of the Petronas Towers. But among all of the things that the store can offer, I mostly loved visiting the Petronas Towers. It was like reliving a movie scene. According to our tourist guide the 88-storey PETRONAS Twin Towers is located at the North-west corner of the 100-acre development, the Towers standing majestically at 452 metres have been acknowledged by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat as the tallest buildings in the world.The design, created by renowned architect, Cesar Pelli & Associates of the USA was selected through an international design competition held in 1991.The floor plate of the Towers is based on geometric patterns common in architecture of Islamic heritage. It is composed of two rotated and super imposed squares with small circular infill around the edges. The exterior of the PETRONAS Twin Towers is organised in horizontal ribbons of vision glass and stainless steel which glint and shimmer in the sun. The design of the buildings also incorporates set-back at level 60, 73, 82, 84 and 88. Attached to each Tower is the 44-storey side tower or annexe, which provides an architectural balance to the slender profile of the main Tower. These coreless annexes also provide additional office space.The Like the exterior design, the interior design patterns and materials used also reflect the national identity of Malaysia. The Towers’ entrance lobbies are showcase of the country’s cultural heritage, incorporating contemporary Malaysian motifs adapted from traditional handicrafts such as ’songket’ and timber carvings while the floor design has been laid in a popular ‘mengkuang’ weave mat design. A 58.4 metre sky bridge at levels 41 and 42 links the Twin Towers. The unique double-deck sky bridge stands 170 metres above street level with its arch support forming a symbolic gateway to the city centre. The sky bridge is opened to visitors between 8.30am - 7.00pm every Tuesday to Sunday.

 

On the other hand, these are only some of the great places that I have gone through during my visit. Collectively, Malaysia is a great place to visit to, it did not only diversified my cultural knowledge but it also made me appreciate the work place of my mom.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

importance of a wedding ring

Just recently, I have joined an exquisite wedding ceremony of a friend. The celebration was grandiose and whimsical. However, before that “big wondrous” day was perfected, the groom almost did not have a wedding ring to use because there was none that would surpass his preference.  

 

On the other hand, a wedding ring is an important factor in a wedding ceremony because it symbolizes the bond of marriage. The circle of a ring represents undying love and the continually renewed vows of the married couple. Wedding rings have most commonly been worn on the third finger of the left hand. Speculation has it that this is because the Romans believed that a vein ran directly from this finger to the heart. An alternate suggestion for this tradition is that each finger on the hand is associated with a planet in the ancient systems of astrology, and the ring finger of the left hand was associated with the Sun. In this way, the wearing of a wedding ring on that finger signifies the public proclamation of the union in the daylight, in other words, the conscious and clearly visible world of human community.

Nevertheless this couple has to deal with their problem, or else, they won’t have any form of symbolism for their love. To resolve their problem they engaged into “RING HOPPING,” going to every jewelry stores that they have known, just to look for that one special groom’s ring. “Ring Hopping” did not materialize, so they turned to the internet for help and they stumble upon justmensrings and their wedding crisis was resolved.
